Type:Penicillin Injection
Composition:
COMPOSITION: Each 30ml contains:-
Procaine Penicillin (B.P)-----------3,000,000 I.U
Benzyl Penicillin(B.P)--------------1,000,000 I.U
Indications:
Systemic infections caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to penicillin. Procaine penicillin when administered by intramuscular injection will provide effective therapeutic blood levels for approximately 24 hours, whilst benzyl penicillin is absorbed slowly in the tissue fluid and maintains blood levels for three to four days. It is of particular value in reducing the number of injections required in course of penicillin therapy.
Dosage and Administration:
By deep intramuscular injection only recommended for a single administration.
Large Animals 1ml per 25kg body weight
Small Animals 1ml per 10kg body weight
Horses: 20ml per 55kg.
Cattle: 16ml per 400kg
Sheep: 2ml per 50kg.
Dogs: 1ml per 10kg
Cats: 0.5ml per 5kg body weight .
Precautions:
Do not use in late pregnancy.
Consult the veterinarian before use.
Keep out of the reach of children.
Store below 25 degree centigrade in a cool and dry place.
Withdrawal Time:
Milk: 72 Hours.
